On March 16th, Governor Cuomo signed an executive order postponing village elections in New York State until April 28th. The day of the New York State primary elections.
Individuals whose terms of office are set to expire at noon on April 6th will continue as holdovers in office until their successors are duly chosen and qualified. This holds true for Village justices as well. The individuals elected on April 28th may take office as soon as the election results are certified.
