Conservation Advisory Council to Hold Its First Meeting

In June the Village Board passed Local Law #4 which created a Conservation Advisory Council (CAC). The council’s job is to, among other things, advise the Village Board on “matters affecting the preservation, development, and use of the natural and human-made resources, features and conditions of the Village”.

The first meeting of the CAC will take place Thursday, August 20th at the Athens Volunteer Fire Department at 6:30pm. The public is certainly welcome to attend!

Of course, social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are required.

The firehouse is located at 39 Third St. in the Village of Athens.
